Claire Holman Thompson, a fundraising consultant, speaker and author, has built on an executive-level career in fundraising for universities and museums to form a consulting agency.  She has designed and implemented successful capital and annual fundraising campaigns for the University of Virginia Art Museum, the Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin, and the International Glass Museum in Tacoma, Washington.  In addition, she has expertise in marketing, branding, and direct mail for non-profits. She is the author of a mystery novel featuring a forged Jackson Pollock painting and a Sicilian art restorer. Her outside interests include horseback riding, gardening, and volunteering. She holds a BA from Scripps College, and MAs in Italian Literature and Anthropology from the University of Virginia. Currently serves as co-president of the board of Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville.
